Cable carrier Spectrum and Ovation TV, an independent TV, production and digital media company, have presented Sheboygan’s John Michael Kohler Arts Center with a $10,000 Stand For The Arts Award. The award recognizes local arts, cultural and educational organizations and programs, and was given in a reception that included State Senator Devin LeMahieu prior to last night’s Levitt Amp Series concert.
The JMKAC was among nine recipients nationwide, each of which received $10,000 in recognition of their support of creatives and artists via community-driven programming; as advocates for equity and access to the arts; and providing accessible spaces for creative expression.
The Arts Center will use the funding to support the it’s ongoing exhibitions and educational initiatives that foster creative exchange between artists and the public, and which inspire meaningful engagements through art.
