Ground was broken on Tuesday, beginning the project to rebuild and remodel Urban and Farnsworth Middle Schools. The projects were made possible due to a $121 Million referendum. The groundbreaking was led by students who were on-hand, and they were joined by Sheboygan Mayor Ryan Sorenson who said: “Fun fact – this is where I actually went to middle school. So, in 2024 the Sheboygan community passed the referendum overwhelmingly to invest in a new middle school. Having a good education is so great to having a strong community.”
Completion of the Farnsworth project is expected by fall of next year, with Urban’s finish in the fall of 2028.
