The first day of school in Sheboygan is less than 4 weeks away and, with a list full of supplies to buy, some families may find it hard to pay all the bills. But this could help: The Sheboygan Recreation Department is partnering with the Sheboygan Optimist Club to host their annual Back to School Basics school supply giveaway, which provides free supplies to parents who need assistance buying items on their children’s class lists.
Children don’t need to be present, but parents will only be allowed to collect items for children in their immediate household. Also, the items available should cover what’s needed at all Sheboygan Area District schools, so bring those lists with you to Longfellow Elementary School between 8 and 10 AM on Saturday.
