As families work to clean up following the Tuesday’s devastating tornadoes in Appleton and Menasha, folks here in the Sheboygan area are looking for ways to help our neighbors.
Winnebago County officials have set up a volunteer reception center at the former University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Fox Cities campus, located on Midway Road in Menasha. Those wishing to assist in the clean up efforts can check in there between 8am and 8pm.
Cash donations are being accepted through the United Way of Fox Cities through this link where you’ll also find ways to donate supplies, specifically:
- Heavy-duty trash bags
- Coolers
- Ice
- Nonperishable food
- Gatorade
- Protein drinks
- Disposable silverware & utensils
- Garbage bags
- Trash grabbers
- Personal protective equipment (work gloves, safety glasses, hearing protraction, safety vests)
- Hygiene products (items for sensitive skin appreciated)
