A line of severe thunderstorms that has a history of generating winds of over 88 MPH is progressing to the northeast, and will affect Sheboygan County during the mid-afternoon hours.
National Weather Service meteorologist Andrew Quigley told WHBL news that, at the present rate, storms will affect Sheboygan County between 3:15 and 3:45 PM…possibly sooner to the southwest, and they could arrive later in the northeast given uncertainties.
Most storm reports from southwest and south-central counties involved straight-line winds over 80 MPH, causing downed trees and branches, along with a few brief tornadoes.
The National Weather Service advises staying abreast of developments, and if issued, pay attention to Severe Thunderstorm Warnings that may be required.
