Wisconsin has joined 19 other states in suing the Dollar General Corporation.
The lawsuit alleges the company charges customers more at the register than what is displayed on the shelves, price tags, and ads. The complaint alleges that thousands of Dollar General stores have taken advantage of shoppers by extracting millions of dollars in unlawful overcharges. The company also allegedly received tens of thousands of consumer complaints, but did nothing about it.
