The City of Sheboygan will be adding to its footprint so that a local company can expand within city limits. Director of Planning and Development Taylor Zeinert announced approval of the annexation by the City Plan Commission on Wednesday, clearing the way for Northland Plastics to move from its current location where it’s surrounded by residential areas that prevent expansion. The new location along County Road A and Weeden Creek Road will allow for intentional and thoughtful growth, with access to City resources for the essential water and sewer services needed for its operations.
Northland Plastics is a 3rd generation company that’s called Sheboygan home for 73 years. Director Zeinert called the project “a testament to what success can look like when the business community and local government partner together, which reinforces Sheboygan’s reputation as a great place to grow your business.”
Final consideration for the annexation will be made by the Common Council during the August 3rd meeting.
