A tragic accident has a worker fighting for his life after becoming caught in agricultural equipment on a Sheboygan County Farm.
A call to the Sheboygan County Emergency Communications Center at 1:25PM Thursday reported that an as-yet-unnamed 18-year-old man had gotten his leg trapped in a corn grinder while working on a farm on Wilson Lima Road a little over a mile southwest of Gibbsville in the Town of Lima. Arriving responders found the man trapped by the equipment within a silo. They were able to remove him and Flight for Life – Theda Star transported the victim to a Milwaukee area hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Additional responders agencies included the Oostburg Fire Department and Jaws, Cedar Grove Fire Department, Adell Fire Department, Oostburg First Responders, Orange Cross Ambulance and the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office.
