Damage was limited and injuries were not serious as a result of a boat catching fire on Saturday. Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Cascade and Waldo Fire Units responded to a pole shed fire on Dooley Road in the Town of Lyndon shortly before 7 PM Saturday. Arriving crews encountered a boat involved in fire parked outside the pole shed, while smoke was coming from the shed itself.
The owner said that he was working on the boat when it caught fire. He was able to remove the boat before fire spread to other items in the shed by the time crews arrived. He suffered burns minor enough that he declined treatment from EMS responders, and only minor smoke damage was incurred by the shed and its contents. No other individuals were injured as a result.
