26 years ago yesterday, 3 Doors Down released their first album, ‘The Better Life. ‘ Singer Brad Arnold also played drums on this album, which has three No. 1 singles: “Loser,” “Duck and Run,” and “Kryptonite. ” The fourth single, “Be Like That,” reached the Top 10 and featured in ‘American Pie 2.’ Arnold wrote “Kryptonite” at 15, and it is certified 8-times platinum and was nominated for a Grammy. The album has sold over 7 million copies and was important to the rock music scene in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Brad Arnold, the lead singer and founding member of the American rock band 3 Doors Down, died on Saturday after a battle with cancer. He was 47.
