Updates to software within the City of Sheboygan IT system have caused delays and suspension of some city services. The latest interruption is to Sheboygan Police Department public fingerprinting services.
The SPD announced one week ago that it was unable to provide the service during the update. Today, it was stated that the service will be suspended until further notice as the software update is still ongoing.
On August 12, the Department of Public Works announced that online park reservations were unavailable due to the updates, and on Monday, August 18th, added special event permit applications to the list of services that were unavailable until further notice.
Since those notices were issued there have been no announcements that services have been restored. Anyone having difficulty accessing those services is being asked to contact the respective departments directly.
