28 years ago this song hit #1 on the U.S. top 40 chart and stayed there for 4 weeks. It was the first British act since the Beatles in 1964 to top the U.S. charts with a debut single. (Song released in the summer of 1996 and the album was released in November of 1996. It was #1 in early 1997)
