(WNFL/LEARFIELD) – One could get all Shakespeare a ‘Romeo, Romeo. Whatever were you thinking, Romeo?” in reference to last week’s 1-game sit-down of wide receiver Romeo Doubs but that appears to be all in the past.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur spoke about the wide receiver yesterday and Doubs is expected back at practice on Wednesday and not more than that.
LaFleur was asked if he had any idea Romeo wasn’t happy.
LaFleur was quizzed about players sharing snaps and how getting players involved has been good for the team, but are some players all in on the concept.
The coach said that it’s great having a lot of players they have confidence in.
Finally, LaFleur dealt with the issue of trust between Doubs and the team, as well as Doubs and the coaches
Roster move:
The Green Bay Packers have released cornerback Robert Rochell. General Manager Brian Gutekunst announced the transaction Monday.
Rochell was on the Packers’ practice squad the entire season before being signed to the active roster on Saturday. He has appeared in three games for Green Bay this season, two as a gameday elevation.
