A Sheboygan Police Officer has been conferred with the “First Responder of the Year” award for the 26th and 27th Assembly Districts.
Officer Alicia Rotier was honored at the State Capitol on Tuesday by State Representatives Tyler Vorpagel of Plymouth and Terry Katsma of Oostburg.
Officer Rotier is in her fourth year with the Sheboygan Police Department and was nominated by Chief Domagalski in recognition of her response to several critical incidents. Domagalski said it was Rotier’s quick thinking, competence, and leadership that played a key role in achieving positive outcomes and saving lives.
Vorpagel and Katsma both expressed pride in recognizing Officer Rotier, as she along with family and guests attended the formal recognition and presentation of a legislative citation during Tuesday’s Assembly Floor Session.
