A walk on the beach any day will reveal litter…85% of that being plastic…and that’s a problem. Not only does it look bad, but it can eventually turn into micro-particles in our water supply. According to the Alliance for the Great Lakes each person will ingest about a credit card-sized amount each week.
You’ll have a chance to do something about that on Saturday between 9 and 11 AM when that organization hosts Adopt-A-Beach cleanups at North Point, Deland Park and King Park beaches in Sheboygan.
If you’d like to participate you’re being asked to register online ahead of time. You can do that here.
