Terry Van Akkeren To Be Sworn In As Mayor March 5th

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) -  Former State Representative Terry Van Akkeren is now Mayor Van Akkeren.  Van Akkeren ousted Bob Ryan in yesterday’s recall as he garnered 6,004 to Ryan’s 5,247.  Ryan, who was recalled primarily for a drinking episode last July trailed from the start and wasn’t able to carry his own ward.  Van Akkeren will be sworn in at the next meeting of the city council on March 5^th.
