SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI (WHBL) – The Public Records research website Backgroundchecks.org has released a report showing that a wide range of performance was found among Wisconsin’s 446 school districts. That report shows that less than half of the state’s students met proficiency standards in math and reading, while some districts excelled in academics and extracurricular activities.
The rankings were based upon numbers of students, graduation rates, school funding per student, student-to-teacher ratios, and proficiencies in standardized tests.
The highest Sheboygan County ranking went to Kohler at number 59 in the state, followed by Howards Grove at 61, Oostburg at 72, Cedar Grove-Belgium at 81 and Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah at number 86. No other Sheboygan County schools cracked the top-100. Backgroundchecks.org ranked the Elmbrook School District in Brookfield as the state’s Number-1.
