The Wisconsin Shipwreck Coast National Marine Sanctuary provides stewardship for our nation’s maritime heritage in Lake Michigan, including 36 nationally significant historic shipwrecks. Join Russ Green, the superintendent of the sanctuary, to learn about the sanctuary, focusing on notable shipwrecks, research, and community engagement. Designated in August 2021, the sanctuary is co-managed by NOAA and the state of Wisconsin. Meet at the Sanderling Nature Center which will be open from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
