The first session of the Sheboygan Police Department’s Junior Police academy is in the books.
Program officials say the students learned about law enforcement and the criminal justice system. The cadets were given insight about the history of policing, as well as the emergency response team, the drone team, and even participated in a mock jury trial.
The week-long program ended with the cadets checking out a mock crime scene and taking a test on all that they learned through the program.
