SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – The Sheboygan Police Department sent a reminder to jet ski – or personal watercraft – users Thursday that Sheboygan has rules in place that govern how you can use them offshore of the city.
First, the craft aren’t allowed to either launch from, or even rest on, the beach front. Operators can approach the shore, but speeds have to be under 4 miles per hour within 1700 feet of land. Also, personal watercraft must use an approved boat launch and follow the rules posted there.
So enjoy the now warm waters, but follow the rules for safety.
