Penn Avenue to Enter Nearly Month-Long Closure From Commerce to North 13th on Tuesday

A stretch of Pennsylvania Avenue west of the Sheboygan River will close for renovations on Tuesday, September 2nd.  The move to block the street from Commerce Avenue to North 13th Street is needed to accommodate infrastructure improvements associated with the reconstruction of Commerce Street north of Penn Avenue.  This will involve replacement of a water main, new curb and gutter, streetlight improvements, concrete sidewalk repairs and new concrete pavement.

Traffic will be detoured via North 14th Street, Erie Avenue, and North 9th Street.  Access for residents on Penn Avenue will be maintained for the duration, which is expected to last until late September, weather permitting.
