Two portions of Georgia Avenue will need to be closed for a good portion of this Friday. That’s so Sheboygan Department of Public Works crews and the City’s Forestry Division can remove several dying trees along the street.
Given that part of nearby Indiana Avenue is being reconstructed and already closed, motorists might need to find smaller neighborhood streets in order to bypass the work in the largest stretch. That will concern the length of Georgian Avenue all the way from Union Avenue to South 26th Street. A smaller portion – that between South Business Drive and South 13th Street, will be easier to navigate. Both stretches of Georgia Avenue will be closed between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 this afternoon.
