The Sheboygan County Board is looking for someone to fill an open position on the Veterans Service Commission.
Board Chairman Vernon Koch said in a release on Wednesday that the vacancy was due to a resignation, and requires someone to serve the remainder of the term which expires on December 31, 2023. The Commission meets the first Wednesday of every month at 8:30 a.m. at the Veterans Service Offices at 650 Forest Avenue in Sheboygan Falls.
The Commission is charged with disseminating the tax levy collected for the purpose of providing aid to needy veterans and / or their families per Wisconsin Statutes (Chapter 45 paragraphs 45.81 and 45.86).

Applications must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2022.
Appointments, which are made by the County Board Chair, are subject to full County Board approval, which would take place at the January 17, 2023 meeting.
