The Sheboygan Area School District is sweetening the pot in hopes of filling numerous open positions.
An increasingly competitive job market has starting wages for Educational Assistants rising to $15 an hour, and for Nutrition Services Food Server and Cook positions which now start at $13 per hour. The SASD will also pay new hires a $2,000 sign-on bonus for any new employee working 7 hours or more per day, paid after 90 calendar days of work. The District also has numerous benefits including insurance and contributions to the Wisconsin Retirement System.
As of Wednesday morning, there were 47 open positions among support staff, as well as 9 certified staff openings. Those interested in applying can do so on the District’s website under “careers”.
