SANTA CLARA, CA (WHBL) – The Green Bay Packers beat the San Francisco 49ers 30-28 in a thriller on Sunday Night Football in Santa Clara.
The Niners took their first lead of the game at 28-27 with just 37-seconds remaining in the game. However, that was more than enough time for Aaron Rodgers as he led the Packers on a six-play, 42 yard drive that was capped off by a Mason Crosby 51-yard field goal as time expired.
Rodgers finished 23-of-33 for 261 yards and two touchdowns for Green Bay, which has won two straight after opening the season with a 38-3 loss to the Saints.
For the Niners, Jimmy Garoppolo was 25-of-40 for 257 yards and two TD’s, but also had an interception and lost a fumble as the Niners fell to 2-1.
