MADISON, WI (WHBL) – Healthcare workers have found themselves on the front line of efforts to clamp down on the COVID-19 pandemic, and for many that means finding childcare in an already tight market. To help ease the situation the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families launched two new tools to connect essential workforce families to local, safe child care. Those workers and other essential employees can now submit a request for child care through the department’s updated Child Care Finder, or search an up-to-date Child Care Map.
DCF Secretary Emilie Amundson said the tools were the effort of the Governor’s Child Care for Essential Workers Taskforce in cooperation with the Early Childhood Association and Supporting Families Together Association.
