Two persons were arrested in a follow-up to an investigation conducted by the Manitowoc County Metro Drug Unit. The unit was joined by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Two Rivers Police Department and the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office in the operation that began with a tip that 38-year-old Charles Zitzer of Manitowoc was involved in the distribution of drugs in Manitowoc County.
On November 5th, Zitzer and Stacey Tadych, whose age and residence weren’t released, traveled to Milwaukee and back to Manitowoc where they were greeted by Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Deputies in a traffic stop. A K-9 alerted its handler to the vehicle which was searched, turning up about a quarter-pound of methamphetamine and related paraphernalia.
Both were jailed with Zitzer, who was on federal parole for previous drug-related activity, charged as a repeater, and a cash bond of $50,000 was imposed. Charges have not yet been filed against Tadych. Zitzer is scheduled for a Monday afternoon appearance in Manitowoc County Circuit Court Branch 1.
