Recent rains have served to moderate the dry conditions that dominated Sheboygan County for the past several months. Areas that were classified as experiencing a Moderate Drought are now Abnormally Dry, while the southeast quarter of the county is experiencing normal conditions.
Many crops in Sheboygan County have been stressed by the relatively dry summer, but those areas were liberally interspersed with others experiencing little or no stress.
Forecasts for the remainder of September favor near-normal temperatures and precipitation, suggesting that current conditions should experience little change.
