There was a serious crash on County Road N in the Town of Mitchell yesterday – with one victim who had to be airlifted from the scene.
It was noon when investigators say a man driving a 1965 Shelby Cobra was slowing down to turn into a driveway when a Cascade man driving a Chevy Impala tried to pass. The two collided, resulting in the driver of the Shelby being ejected from his vehicle. That driver suffered a serious head injury and was airlifted from the scene for treatment.
The driver of the Impala was ticketed for driving without insurance. No other charges have been filed, as the crash is still being investigated.
