The Sheboygan County Division of Public Health on Tuesday announced three deaths added to the toll of those losing their battle with COVID-19. Those added included one in their 30s, one in their 70s, and another 80 or older. Of the 131 victims in all, one was between 10 and 19 years of age, three were in their 30s, four were in their 40s, five were in their 50s, twenty-two were in their 60s, twenty-eight were in their 70s and sixty-eight were 80 or older.
Active cases of COVID-19 in Sheboygan County dropped 13 to 137, as only 1 positive test return of the 59 received was positive. 11 more recovered, and hospitalization numbers were down by two to 4. 12,915 persons in Sheboygan County have now had the coronavirus.
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services added 324 new cases of COVID-19, raising the running total to 564,592. The positive test percent rate was 13.4%. After recording two consecutive days with no new deaths to report, Tuesday saw 28 persons added to the toll which now stands at 6,440. 64 more persons were hospitalized, and after accounting for deaths and discharges the COVID patient population dropped 16 to 271. 71 of those are in ICU beds, and 376 patients in all are on ventilators.
The Sheboygan County Division of Public Health has now launched its daily updates in Spanish. The document is available within the “daily update” menu on the County’s COVID-19 webpage, which can be accessed here.
The County DHS also said that it is working to provide daily updates in Hmong, and hopes to add that option either late this week or early next.
