9-YEAR-OLD MANITOWOC GIRL DIES IN ROLLOVER CRASH

A 9-year-old Manitowoc girl suffered fatal injuries when she was ejected from the vehicle in a rollover crash.  Manitowoc County Sheriff Dan Hartwig reports that the crash happened around 8:40 Monday morning when the SUV, driven by a 51-year-old woman from Manitowoc, left I-43 northbound, entered the east ditch and rolled several times.  The girl died at the scene, while the operator was taken to Holy Family Memorial Medical Center for treatment, then arrested for homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle and operating after revocation – causing death.  She remains in the Manitowoc County Jail pending her initial court appearance.
