MADISON, WI (WHBL) – The same day the Wisconsin Badgers moved up two spots in the coaches poll to number-seven, they were upset by Maryland 70-64 at the Kohl Center.
D’Mitrik Trice led Wisconsin with 25 points while Aleem Ford added 10. The Badger big men struggled as Nate Reuvers and Micah Potter combined for just 12 points and the Badgers were outscored in the paint 38-20.
The Terrapins, now 6-3, 1-2 in Big Ten, snapped Wisconsin’s 15 game home winning streak and stretch of 10 straight conference wins dating back to last season.
Wisconsin, now 8-2, 2-1 in the Big Ten, will host Minnesota on Thursday. Pregame coverage on WHBL will start at 2:30 with tip-time set for 3:30.
