DETROIT, MI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers scored all of their runs in the ninth inning to attempt the comeback but fell short and lost 8-3 to the Tigers in Detroit on Tuesday night.
Jedd Gyorko, Avisail Garcia and Omar Narvaez all logged RBI singles. Adrian Houser gave up five runs over four-and-two-thirds to take the loss for Milwaukee, which lost its third straight to dip to 18-22.
Spencer Turnbull pitched six innings of three-hit, shutout ball for the Tigers. Jeimer Candelario and Jorge Bonifacio each had two-run singles in a five-run fifth for Detroit, which has won two-of-three since a four-game slide.
