PLYMOUTH, WI (WHBL) – The Plymouth High Class of 2020 will finally celebrate graduation during a virtual commencement on Sunday.
The virtual ceremony will feature a graduation video complete with commencement addresses, an Alumni Hall of Fame induction and the reading of the names of those graduates who wished to participate.
The video will be shown on Plymouth Community Television at 2 PM Sunday the 26th, and afterwards will be available on the Plymouth School District’s website.
A list of cum laude, magna cum laude, and summa cum laude graduates will also be posted on the district website on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Plymouth School District Superintendent Doctor Carrie Dassow informed the community on Tuesday that she will be retiring in December. The announcement was posted on the district’s website. Dassow has been with the Plymouth School District for 35 years, and served as Superintendent since 2013. Following her retirement on December 30th, she will be succeeded by current Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction Dan Mella.
Dr. Dassow began teaching at Plymouth Riverview Middle School in 1986. Her successor, Dan Mella, has been Assistant Superintendent along with Dassow since 2013 and began with the district as Plymouth High School Principal in 2003.
