(WHBL) – Republican 26th District Assemblyman Terry Katsma of Oostburg reacted to the State Supreme Court ruling that struck down the extension of “Safer at Home” by saying,“In my opinion, we need to be responsible and continue to follow social distancing and adhere to CDC guidelines regarding hand washing and other proper sanitation measures so that we don’t end up having a spike in positive COVID-19 cases.”
The order was struck down by a 4-3 decision on a suit filed by the Republican-controlled legislature on April 22nd.
Katsma acknowledged that all businesses can reopen unless there is a local health department order prohibiting it – something being discussed in Sheboygan County government offices this morning, but he concluded by saying that “We can reopen Wisconsin responsibly.”
