SAN DIEGO, CA (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers opened their series against the Padres with a 4-3 extra innings win in San Diego on Thursday night.
Rowdy Tellez hit a sacrifice fly in the top of the 10th which plated the game winning run. Tellez also crushed a two-run homer in the first inning while Mike Brosseau launched a solo shot in the fifth.
Milwaukee improved to 9-4 and is still first in the NL Central.
Game two of the four-game series takes place Friday night. Freddy Peralta gets the start for the Brewers opposite Michael Wacha.
