SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (WHBL) - There will be no half-marathon held in Sheboygan next month.  Rapid Running Event Management had been promoting the event for October 13^th and people had been signing up and paying an entry fee.  However, Chad Pelishek, the City Development Manager, said city officials have decided not to approve the permit to allow the event.  Pelishek said discussions with the company had begun over a year ago, but the city never received a complete formal request to host the event.  He said today’s decision to formally deny approval was made to protect current and potential participants from losing registration fees.
