Packers Face Giants In Sunday Night Football

EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ (WHBL) - While Aaron Rodgers keeps firing touchdown passes, New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning hasn’t found the end zone for the last three games. The Packers hope to continue that trend tonight.  It’s a rematch of last year’s NFC playoff game - won by the Giants 37-20 - and a showdown between the winners of the last two Super Bowls. Green Bay is going for its sixth win in a row.  Rogers has thrown 27 TD passes in 10 games, to go with just six interceptions. He’s been that effective despite being sacked 32 times. He leads the NFL with a passer rating of 107-point-3.  The Giants, who are coming off a bye week, typically play well following the bye, having won four straight.

Injuries continue to be a storyline this year for the Packers.  Linebacker Clay Matthews and cornerback Sam Shields have both been ruled out for tonight's game.  Wide receiver Greg Jennings and tight end Andrew Quarless are listed as questionable.  There's also word that running back Cedric Benson may have to have surgery after sitting out six weeks, which would end his season.

Pregame coverage on WHBL begins at 5pm with kickoff around 7:30pm.
