Tina Fey Raps! Star Appears on Childish Gambino Track

By Aly Semigran, Hollywood.com Staff

Tina Fey is an Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actress/writer/producer/comedian/author/all-around awesome human who can add another title to her already impressive resume: rapper. Even though Liz Lemon may not be a viable hip-hop star, and the TGS producer rejects Chris Brown's return to the music community, we fully embrace the idea of Fey as a rapper. Especially after hearing the 42-year-old's appearance on the Childish Gambino track ""Real Estate.""

Fey, who worked with Donald Glover (a.k.a. Childish Gambino) on 30 Rock is collaborating with the Community star again, just in a fairly different capacity this time around. Childish Gambino's brand new album Royalty (which you can listen to and download — for free! — on his website) features an impressive list of guest stars, including music legends like RZA, Ghostface Killa, and even Beck. But it's Fey's contribution (which helps close out the album) that should earn the funny lady, who has already broken (hoagie) bread with Questlove, some major props.

While Fey's freestyle isn't so much a freestyle as it is the star speaking her rap lines, it's still pretty impressive. While Liz Lemon's raps would probably make us cringe (there's the distinct feeling hers would start with ""Yo, my name is Liz and I'm here to say..."") Fey's makes us do anything but.

Not only does she keep up with the flow of the track, she stays true to herself. ""My president is black and my Prius is blue motherf***er,"" she raps, ending with her killer closer, ""This is the part where most people would say something crazy and drop the n-word after it/ Not going to/ Not gonna do that / I don't feel comfortable! / I'm out!"

Listen to the full track, which also features cameos by rappers Alley Boy and Swank, here. (Fey — nay, T-Money — drops in at the 4:58 mark.) It's official: Tina Fey is the best new rapper on the planet. Who told? We did! Lemon out!
