What up Sheboygan!?

As an independent artist/producer/writer/engineer/webmaster blah blah blah lol, I often times go back and forth with whether or not I'd ever sign with a major record label as far as the Artist side of my career. There is a new phenomenon growing amoungst labels called "360 Deals". Basically, these deals allow an artist to "blow up" with all the bells and whistles a usual deal in the old days would get, but the catch is that now the label will take a portion of each and everything the artist is involved with in any way, shape or form! On one hand my take is, well, they do create the national buzz and/or opportunity for the artist, and they have to continue to fund labels somehow with record sales being at an all-time low; and on the other hand my take is wow EVERYTHING?! Even if I create it myself?!?! Here is an article about the "360 Deal" whats your opinion?? Im curious!!
