Here's a strange turn of events.

I had heard that it's up in the air whether or not Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson all return to American Idol.

Pretty sure JLo actually already said she does not want to return and instead wants to work on other projects.

Not sure if Steven wants to come back, but I would be surprised if Randy Jackson didn't return. Dude's Dawg's the only original judge on the show.

Anyway, rumor has it that Nigel Lythgoe, the executive producer of American Idol, is now pushing for Charlie Sheen to join the judges table.

Really?

I guess Ellen did it, so he wouldn't be the first judge without a musical expertise (granted Ellen IS a mighty fine dancer, heh).

TMZ is also reporting that Nigel would also like Jerry Lewis to become a new judge on the show for season 12.

What do you think of both of those ideas?

The other possible candidates people are speculating include Adam Lambert, Katy Perry, Fergie, & Miley Cyrus.
