There’s a bit of a White House mystery. After nearly two years of noisy and costly construction, the White House “Big Dig” is supposedly wrapping up. Deep underground, whatever was built remains a secret. Officially, it was a utilities upgrade – water and sewer lines and such. But reporters say what they saw being built was a multistory structure requiring truckloads of heavy-duty concrete and steel beams. And whatever it is – apparently it isn’t finished. Officials say the “Big Dig” was just the first phase of the project.
