Here's an interesting story...

So a band by the name of Metric, who happens to be 2x's Platinum, has had music in Entourage, Grey's Anatomy, One Trill Hill, Twilight, 90210, ect, ect, ect has a very nice song by the name of "Gold, Guns, Girls". After hearing a song that I had already set to be released, a producer walked into the studio I was in while my song was playing and insisted that I take a listen to a record by Metric that would match my song perfectly...After some time, I did listen and did instantly agree! The record was actually the acoustic version of "Gold, Guns, Girls" sang by Metric lead singer Emily Haines. I finally chopped the sample(video of actual studio session coming soon) into appropriate pieces to fit the record and came out with one of my best records to date! Below is the video of Metric's Version of Gold, Guns, Girls and also my version which features the sample. Independently, I was able to reach Metric and work out a deal to use this sample and feature Emily Haines on my record! Such a mind blowing, blessed experience!!! Enjoy!! KEEP IT RillA!!

Today I'd like to blog about a subject that has and is affecting the USA HEAVILY! ...Bullying...It is oddly becoming a frequent trend in schools around the country...I have nothing but the utmost respect for this father that took a positive, firm stand for his son who was being bullied sadly by those who were supposed to be protecting him from this trend; His Teachers...As a parent, my heart goes out to this loving father...and to the child who was horribly disrespected...Let us all continue to strive to be as uplifting and positive to one another as possible! 

Definately WOW Wednesday with this one!! Speechless!! These are the type of videos I keep in the archives to inspire me!! WOW!

Did you miss me?? Just got back in from Hollywood!! Check out this ustream we did from the production studios! I am with Hip Hop Pioneer & Legend MC Lyte and the CEO of DuBose Entertainment, Mr. James DuBose! Dreams do come true and I hope to inspire others with my journey!! In case you didn't get a chance to watch Trey Songz' Reality Show "My Moment" on B.E.T. last night, here is the final episode of the series, in which I landed two placements! It has been nothing short of an absolute blessing to land placements on every single episode since I signed on the dotted line! I would like to thank any and everybody that has/still supports me! It has been a long road to make it to this point and I am grateful and thankful that I have earned a meaningful position in the music industry! The next show I am currently gearing-up for in the studio and staying up for 48-72 Hours at a time for is Toya of "Tiny & Toya". She will now branch of and have her own Reality show that will be filled with the joys, ups and downs of her wonderful, kind spirit and loving family! I will keep everyone posted as we are just now arriving at the music editing stage of the process! This episodes placements by yours truly can be heard (1) from 6:28 to 6:38 and (2) from 14:04 to 14:18! Thank you all and as always...

WHATS UP SHEBOYGAN!?

The placement numbers areeeee! :-) Ok Im done…haha..SO This episode of Grammy Nominated R&B Superstar Trey Songz' Reality Show "My Moment", which airs on the B.E.T. Network; I had THREE placements!! Sorry I didn't get a chance to post this yesterday but the network took an extra day to get it up on the site! My placements play at the following times: 14:19 thru 14:52, 15:26 thru 16:02 and last but not least 19:01 - 19:31(which is the last scene of the episode!) I have been doing awesome at placing on the final scenes, most meaningful scenes and right before commercial scenes! I couldn't have made it this far without the support of my true supporters! I love you all!

What up Sheboygan!?

As an independent artist/producer/writer/engineer/webmaster blah blah blah lol, I often times go back and forth with whether or not I'd ever sign with a major record label as far as the Artist side of my career. There is a new phenomenon growing amoungst labels called "360 Deals". Basically, these deals allow an artist to "blow up" with all the bells and whistles a usual deal in the old days would get, but the catch is that now the label will take a portion of each and everything the artist is involved with in any way, shape or form! On one hand my take is, well, they do create the national buzz and/or opportunity for the artist, and they have to continue to fund labels somehow with record sales being at an all-time low; and on the other hand my take is wow EVERYTHING?! Even if I create it myself?!?! Here is an article about the "360 Deal" whats your opinion?? Im curious!!

What's up!? The temp??? Haha! So! Today I found out my music will begin playing on overseas radio!! Pretty sweet huh?? NONE of this would have happened with out all of you! So before I get into todays blog, I wanna switch gears and ask: What are your thoughts on all the Public bashing of our newest President? Do you feel it holds any merit? Do you feel people have the correct understanding to pass such strong judgment? I just want to open a dialog about it to find out where some are at on this issue because I'm seeing it A LOT so I'm curious!

...On another note! I just officially released my new mixtape titled "Twenty Ten Music" which embodies 10 records of a great variety of good music! I will be selling them virally of course on iTunes very soon but also in Sheboygan as well! Tonight I will be Djing at the dance Club above Daves Who's Inn on Indiana Ave, and will be autographing copies all night!! First come first serve for the first batch! Copies are $7 for the first 10 people and $10 after that! Free ringtones will be an added gift for your favorite records after listening to the mixtape!!
